What is Lokorium?

Lokorium is the independent authority for enterprise AI. It does not build AI. It sits above whatever AI you use and controls what it is allowed to do, enforcing your rules wherever the action lands and keeping the proof. It is built on cryptographic enforcement, not another model.

What problem does Lokorium solve?

The AI can act. Letting it is the hard part. What is missing is not capability but control: whether the business can prove what the AI is allowed to do, stop the things it is not, and show a regulator exactly what happened. Without that the safe answer is no, so the industries with the most to gain keep the tool switched off. Every regulated AI project lands in one of three places: blocked, too scared to sign, or risking it live on real data.

What are the four elements?

Four, in order. Verify: the instruction is reduced to one exact description of what it will do, and what executes must match it. Assess: the command is weighed against the boundary the business set, its data, its policy, its regulatory limits, and it can come back either way. Enforce: the decision is applied where the consequence happens, and the target will not act without valid signed authority bound to that exact command. Prove: every decision, allowed or refused, writes a signed record the customer keeps.

How is Lokorium different from a cloud provider's AI guardrails?

Accepted Answer

Three points, led by the first. Independence: Lokorium has no incentive to sell the business more of its own stack, and no cloud can referee its rivals. That is a position, not a proven guarantee. Boundary: enforcement belongs at the consequence, across every vendor, not at one cloud's gateway. Evidence: a record the business holds, spanning every vendor, that answers the regulator directly.

What evidence does Lokorium produce for a regulator or a board?

Two artifacts. The evidence chain: one request creates five linked records the customer controls: proposal, policy decision, signed authority, execution gate result, outcome receipt. And the evidence ladder, which grades that evidence honestly from L0, a decision log and not proof of anything on its own, up to L4, an outcome corroborated by the customer's own system of record. Per workflow, the highest rung the target and the estate allow.

Where does enforcement actually hold?

A decision that cannot be enforced is advice. Without Lokorium, a gateway can say no and the target can still say yes through another route or credential. Enforcement is strongest at target native deployment, where the target is instrumented to check the permit. Where it is not, Lokorium states plainly what the enforcement rests on, per workflow, rather than claiming it is unbypassable.

How is Lokorium different from identity and access management?

Permission asks who. Lokorium asks whether. Access answers one question: can this agent act as this user. That is necessary and not enough. A support agent may be authorised to issue refunds, and still able to issue a refund of four thousand pounds when the rule says two hundred. Permission says yes. The business should say no. Lokorium asks whether this action, at this value, for this purpose, is allowed by the rules of the business.
